This was my last Printmaking: Figure Ground project.
We were supposed to compose something that represents experiencing a historical event in the making.
So this series captures the benefits of transitioning into a plant-based diet. It only took a about three months for my parents to transition, but it's taken me a year and a half.

This series in a way represents three branches of a veganism... There's the plant-based diet which is focused on health and preventing chronic disease, macrobiotics which I think of as more spiritual and focused on balance in lifestyle, and activism for animal rights and the environment.

This composition portrays the community formed from the plant-based lifestyle. And how much care we put into keeping each other healthy. I think its amazing that we're constantly learning from each other and also furthering our knowledge of our own health. Oh and the heart also kind of represents the plant-based food pyramid.
